At the bottom the setter says do not ask on the internet so please stick to her wishes
17. Behold = LO (as in lo and behold)
Pages = PP http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20061117161328AAEeouX

and hesitation = ER

Lopper
oops! you have upset smouse. No more answers just yet.
29) staging
14 kneeler?
I thought "kneeler" also, but couldn't parse the "r".
direction - right -r?
I thought at least when the setter said dont ask both those who ask and those who answer should stick to it but it seems there are still those who dont care and again I am sure those answering havent bought the quiz and helped the charity
8 a long shot - fle(ec)e???
smouse, most of us don't know of the quiz, or have heard of the quiz, or know the setters wishes, so unless the poster informs us, don't make comments against us. A question is asked - and if we can help, we do.
Thanks, auntyflo. For direction I was thinking of N.S E or W.
no-one here has the answer sheet so it's no different to someone asking their mates - or maybe smouse and her mates go around knocking on doors, vetting people to make sure that they only talk to people on a list
bibblebub, exactly. Has smouse bought my quiz for charity? and if not, why not?
My original comment was directed at the asker and it was hoped it would stop the people who were not aware what the setter had said from answering

I spend about £50 a month on charity quizzes
the quiz setter and you should get into the 21st century - there is a very simple way in which the quiz could be changed so that it wouldn't matter from where people get answers (internet included) but I'm not going to reveal what that is, work it out for yourself

Well, I actually haven't seen the paper, my friend wrote them down to look on the internet cos she doesn't have it, so I asked on here. thanks to those who answered, I was thinking on the same lines. Simple mistake to make if you don't have the information.
Well they could decide not to put in the work to set it and sell raffle tickets instead and it will come to that soon. I am still sure those who answer most spend least but of course they never say they dont actually buy quizzes
I find it difficult to understand the difference between looking stuff up on the internet yourself (particularly if people are not good at cryptic clues), or asking on a forum like this. What's the difference? - those submitting the forms have still paid the charity for the entrance sheet and clues.
