What annoys/infuriates you about the things people say? One that I hate is the almost universal "lonjeray" for "lingerie", which should be "lanjeree" (approx.). Not to mention "mischievIous for "mischievous" . . .

Communial for communal drives me crazy. But not as much as anythinK, somethinK, nothinK. And I've heard newsreaders and people who should know better saying it, in fact it seems to be the norm and I'm quite shocked to hear anybody pronounce somethinG correctly.

Anemone (pronounced anemony) is one of my pet hates, which lots of people pronounce anenemy. Also when people say hypoactive when they really mean hyperactive.
