I have an email that I want to print out - but have only been able to get a useless copy, with ads down the side. I searched for help and read 'In the client application, click File and then Print' - but when I'm on the email I can't see these options at all! I'm sure they used to be at the top of my page, but that's now taken up with all the websites I use frequently. Is there some basic step that I am missing out? Thanks for any advise help.

This is being done on a laptop, my emails are in what used to be Hotmail, but is now the latest edition of Outlook.

Thanks, I did that - but I still get only the top half of the email, complete with ads. I was hoping to find the step would take me 'printer friendly verson, so that I could miss out all the junk.
Well, it works fine for me :(
If you use the browser's print option, then it will act as you describe, because it will simply print whatever you see on screen. Selecting Actions/Print Message at top right (of the email, not of the browser) invokes the print function of the email application.
can you just highlight what you want printing and then after going into print, select only. Im sure Ive done this and it worked ok

Thanks for the help - mission accomplished! The solution was to click on the ... option! (At the top of the email - along from New Reply Delete Categories). When I clicked on that and pressed 'print' my advertless email appeared.
Hope you don't think I'm an idiot re this - it's the first time I've had to do this since Outlook replaced Hotmail.
