Can you play a standard film DVD on your machine? If not, then you will only have a CD player/writer fitted. Have any other family members got a machine that have a DVD player/writer fitted? If so then transfer your photos to a portable drive and ask them to burn them to a dvd for you
I haven't used it but you could try this http:// www.giv eawayof theday. com/pho to-slid eshow-m aker-pr ofessio nal/ which is free for today only (until 8am Sunday)
Hi Zingo 1327. OK it sounds like it's a software problem I am presuming that the software to transfer to CD probably came free with the machine and is only capable of writing to a CD format. You'll need to get some software that will go both CD and DVD data formats. I would recommend Nero and I've just checked the Nero site and you can download a 15 day trial for free. Or amazon have the Nero 'Burn Express' for £17 - which looks exactly want you want
