Can anyone assist me please - what is the best way to copy AVCHD video clips to a DVD for playing through TV/Video Recorder model DMR-EX75EB
Does the camcorder have to be connected direct to computer or can I just insert SDXC card ?
Easy instructions please - many thanks

≥MPEG2 moving pictures shot with a Panasonic SD Video camera, etc. can be copied to the HDD or DVD-RAM.
≥MPEG2 moving pictures cannot be played directly from the SD card.
The manual does not appear to mention AVCHD formats so I guess even if you copied the video files to the Panasonic HDD it probably would not get recognised.
So that leaves you with the necessity to convert the AVCHD video to DVD format which the Panasonic will recognise!
This will require copying the movie file to a Windows Computer, for example, and then run a conversion program to create the DVD. One such program that seems to be a 'favourite' according to others is a package called AVStoDVD which is freely available from:

Also for consideration, when you purchased the Camcorder did it come with a CD containing software? If so, it may include a software package called 'Moviefactory SE' which will also convert and create DVDs on the computer.

Another option to check out that will probably work, is connecting the Panasonic Camcorder direct to the TV via a HDMI cable. Assuming your TV has a HDMI input available, the Camcorder specifications indicate that it includes a HDMI output port. So you would just need a HDMI cable.
If that works then the original video quality should remain when output to TV via HDMI. You could then presumably program the DVD recorder to record to DVD at the same time.

You can use Firstarsoft MTS Converter to convert mts from your panasonic camcorder to vob, then using imgburn to creat a dvd. http:// www.fir starsof t.com/m ts-conv erter/
Please note AVCHD is not a DVD readable file format. You have to convert the AVCHD video clips to mpeg2 that's the dvd standard.

Check the source to burn your videos onto DVD.
I believe it will do the task for you and it's simple to use.
