Oh I am so pleased and relieved at the same time I had to share ;-) I have just spent the last hour with a poor sheep that was trying to deliver a lamb -have been watching it all afternoon and although its best to leave them to it just had a gut feeling something wasn't right so went over to it in the field - it had a lambs bum sticking out of it -not a good sign as they normally come front feet first - I managed to get the lamb out and it wasn't breathing so I slapped it and cleaned the gunk out of its mouth and it coughed and came round - I am so pleased -its a female lamb - huge -and it would have been born dead if I'd left the sheep to it -''result'' as my youngest son would say -happy happy ;-)

Sqad - too much wine causes erectile dysfunction and ibuprofen won't cure that unless you glue them on the underside.

sqad - return my copy of that cook book at once. it is giving you too many ideas. you know the one i mean. ("the high sexuality diet"). you can keep "50 ways to eat raw squid".
Shouldn't that be raw sqad?
If you post a pic of your sheep and it looks exactly like DTC's sheep, we'll know you're trying to pull the wool over our eyes.
You too 2sp!? Enormous admiration from me for you two, you both are so courageous.
lol @ carpy. it is only a little book.
Ewwww eat Sqad!???
Only little? What about giant Sqad - sorry squid ...
it is by ursula lecordier and cost £1.60. not going to say why or how i got it.
You had a brief flounder with a fisherman!
I have friends who are farmers, what with the weather, cost of feed, etc, they are giving up the sheep - have you had any problems with Schmollenberg disease?
no carpy but he did have a floating gin palace.
As Magsmay, that's wonderful. I'd love to see a photo of ewe and lamb. PS I love your magic circle gravatar. I love that painting. Waterhouse is my ABSOLUTE favourite artist. Sorry for digressing.

@Iluvspikey -no, thankfully no problems with Schmollenberg disease. We used to have a commercial herd but now just have a few (30) as a hobby but it cost a fortune this year to feed them as there is no grass up here in the fields yet. -they are getting through about £50 of hay a week and £25 of sheep nuts -so it an expensive year -thankfully we have a large percentage of big healthy twins.
well done magsmay. there's not a lot wrong with going with the old gut feeling
