Is it safe to bath cats?
I'm not talking the fact that if you put them anywhere near it they'll claw you to death but my cats are having a spot of bother with fleas. I was just wondering if it as safe from the cats point of view, how warm the water should be, how to dry them etc
Thanks

Get the stuff that you put on the back of their neck either from the vets or from the pet shop, or the spray if they are over 6 months old. if your cats have fleas you should have them treated for worms too.
it should be safe to bath them though. Id do it i the sink, using warm water and a proper animal shampoo.
I have 2 cats that didnt have fleas for months until another cat kept seaking in the cat flap. I cant afford the Frontline stuff, although it does work well, so i use to supermarket stuff that i find works well on my cats. I know i'n contridicting you campbellking, but i suppose each cat is different. I also use the 'Flea Foggers' from the supermarket, bout 8 for 2 cans. These are brill. Just put in the romm your treating and set it off and leave for 2 hours. Kills all fleas for upto 7 months. Its the quick and easy way to treat a whole room upto 30m squared.
I would never bath my cats. I dont see the point in putting them through the stress when there are so many products about to treat fleas. Unless of course, you have always bathed your cats from kittens and they are used to it.
