Guillotined Primroses!!!!

Something is snipping off the heads of both my pink and lemon primroses and leaving them untouched on the garden!! Any ideas on what is going on would be helpful.

I have a garden full of primroses and they all have their original heads. That's not much help to you is it? I wish I could help, honestly.

Sometimes wood pigeons eat flower heads.
Do you have a lot in your garden?

The birds do it, I'm not really sure why. They seem to like the yellow ones in particular.

Some birds nip off the heads of flowers to get at the nectar, sweet peas are vulnerable to this, and bean flowers.

The louries nip the heads of white flowers in my garden. But dogs is not so far fetched. When my kids were small I planted a lovely bed of Iceland poppies. My daughter who was about four at the time had the habit of picking flowers and bringing them to me but she would just pick the heads off. So when I found poppies de headed I blamed her but she assured me it wasn't her so I watched out the window only to see my afghan pup sitting watching the poppies swaying in the breeze and then she would snap off a head.

The birds do it in my garden although they ignore the yellow ones, purple and pink get ruined.

I was going to suggest children aswell
I had to tell my young grandson off for pulling the heads off my flowers and bringing them to me. X

The starlings strip all yellow flowers round here, just peck them off and leave them. The only ones they dont touch are the wretched dandelions!
