Smoking Ban
When will it come into effect - assuming the Bill becomes an Act by, say, end July?
Will you stop smoking?
Will you start smoking at home?
Will you go to the pub more/less?
Will you join an exempt place, like a WMC or private club (subject of course to the terms of the Act)?

Like Gef I find the bleating of those who willingly go into smoking pubs annoying. A recent case in point was a (nightmare) trip to the pub with Mme LeMarchand's girls, who chose to take us to a pub they liked that allowed smoking and then spent the evening whingeing that people had the temerity to smoke in the venue. *rolls eyes*
On a related note, does the ban extend to nightclubs? The one I help out with is currently suffering from the revision of the licensing hours (why pay to get into a club and - usually - pay their highish drinks prices when you can just stay down the pub?). If they ban smoking it will be the final nail in the coffin... (If not, it might be a boost!)
I am currently in college studying media and have to make a documentary i choose to make one on the smoking ban in pubs. To do this I need to find a pub which doesn't allow smoking but can not find one with a total ban yet if anyone knows of any near Cirencester or Swindon which has totally banned smoking please let me know.
When the ban starts I don't think that I will quit but I probably would cut down. I can't smoke at home as I still live with my parents and they don't like smoking so have to go outside. I will probably go to the pub the same amount as I wouldn't bother me smoking outside or not having one for longer than usual. I don't see the point of joining an excempt place as none of my mates would be their but if I go to the pub they will be.
