Rhododendron 'percy Wiseman' Patio Variety
I bought this plant 2 years ago in bloom, following year I transplanted into larger pot and it was superb, this year it still has all its buds present but the leaves have all curled inwards. Any reason why? It has been open to the winter weather (supposed to be hardy) but I am afraid I am losing it. Help required please.

You might find it needs a bit of a feed (get some sulphate of iron or a feed designed for acid loving plants). Also check that the pot is well drained, they don't like being waterlogged. But equally, check that it isn't too dry. We've had a rare dry spell just recently and even if it has rained you still need to water pots regularly (preferably with rain water for a rhody).

Thank you barmaid, yes it is in its special compost, and I have kept it watered, (sometimes with tap water) but I do have 2 rain water barrels. I will try a feed as that is something I have not done yet, it is well drained, and I wondered if the harsh winter had finished it off being in a container.
