Do You Think The Internet Has Changed You?

A chap (a tech writer) lived for a year without the internet. He hoped it would be a revelation. It wasn't really.

Do you think your perspective has changed since joining the WWW? For the better, or worse?

It's made my life easier when it comes to keeping in touch with all the family, and as much as I'm not that keen on facebook, It means we can all chat together wherever we are in the country, and keep in touch on a daily basis far easier.

It's changed how I spend my time, but I don't think it's actually changed me.
It has changed my perspective a bit - I never realised how many *** there were around. I cringe when reading some comments in football forums for example (especially unmoderated ones) - to think that such people get a vote appalls me. The other side of this coin however is the rewarding exposure to many sensible and lively and at times highly amusing intellectuals - this forum being just one example.

If I'm being honest, I would probably say it's changed me for the worst.
I now do ALL my shopping online. Both food and clothing, and whatever else I may have 'popped to the shops' for, previously.
I also email/message people, rather than pick up the phone. In fact, I'm now so used to doing that, that I actually hate having to ring anyone and try to avoid it at all costs.
I also used to use the library quite often, but now I just look up whatever it is I need on the web. Oh, and that goes for AnswerBank too - it's kind of become my excuse for not going to the doctors when I probably should. Who needs GP's when you've got Sqad, huh! :)
For me, it's turned me into a bit of a recluse. Without the internet I would probably get out and about a bit more.

"Do You Think The Internet Has Changed You?"
I am still the same person but a bit lazier, and procrastinate more. It has changed how I spend or utilize my time. I put of doing things, I never visit the shops / stores anymore, well except Costco. But, I do appreciate the convenience of banking and shopping online, and able to see loved ones while speaking to them.
What I would miss most if I don't have internet access is being able to pay my bills online. This is the greatest convenience for me. I'd also miss AB.
