Finally got the webcams up and running - what is the story at dyfi ? Am I right in thinking that's Monty, patiently waiting for his mate ?

Will he stay the whole season or make an early return south ?

The problem for Monty has been that there have been three different females around in the last week but none of them seem to stay. He feeds them up and they leave. At the moment he keeps chasing one away Blue 12, I think it is. His most likely mate, Seren seems to have disappeared again.
He seems fated to be on his own this year, with no chicks.

Did you see the fight between Seren and another female? That was awful but fascinating viewing.
