I have inherited my wife's Corsa. I find it a little difficult to drive. I would say it was just me but a friend drove it yesterday and agreed with me. I think part of the problem is the accelerator peddle is a little bit to responsive. Could this be sorted easily?

If you are not used to the car Gav, you have to treat it with respect untill you get the feel of it.

As I said if was just me but friend is a confident driver that has driven many cars.
Have a look under the Dash Gav, spray WD 40 In the direction of the cable / make sure there's not build up of dirt at the pedal base & the rear of the base, ( Put some rags down to catch the surplus) do the same under the bonnet where the cable come through.
not all Corsas have cable throttle (if any)
If you spray lubricant on the cable "if it has one" It will make it even more responsive!
When I went from a G reg Belmont to a J reg Astra I found it revved a bit when I was changing gear. Seems the electronics with fuel injection in the newer J reg car were slower to respond than the cable to the carburettor in the old Belmont. I just had to ease off the gas a bit earlier. Job done.

How can an accelerator pedal be 'too responsive'?
