When the pubs close and all the drunks and nutters come online?

I do.

It makes for some fun and interesting times, we used to love it on some of the international forums because everyone was in different time zones so you'd have wave after wave of new drunk or high users from all corners of the globe adding to the party.

well I can't tell the drunks from the nutters and it's never good to pigeon hole people, I'm not drunk though and so that leaves me a tad concerned.........

AB is not really that kind of forum to be honest - probably because its not really a chat room - its a Q&A site.

CB was only added, under some duress, to stop the chatter on other topics.

CB could get taken away again one of these days. It sometimes seems like it's just a breeding ground for sniping.

I agree re the sniping and the nasty comments,,,,but when I voiced my opinion , I was told it was much worse, @ in the old days .

It probably was, Ann. But in those days you had more chance of finding Lord Lucan than seeing Ed pop up on a thread, and mods were unheard of.

As I understand it there are a fair few mods now, and Ed puts in a regular appearance, so (to me, anyway) he seems interested in stamping out the unsavoury aspect of the site.

Of course, peeps might just move it to B & S (like they did before, when CB was pulled) but I expect they'd soon get fed up of posting if their posts kept getting removed by the mods.

I don't have a problem with ignoring trouble-causers. Makes a lot of sense to me. Just ignore 'em because if you retaliate, it just keeps going round and round and round....pointless and shows neither party in a good light.
