Ipad In Europe

Travelling around Europe soon, Gibraltar, Italy, Spain, Portugal. Will WiFi connection be the same as UK, e.g. will I be able to get a connection in the street, or only in a WiFi cafe? I know our cruise ship doesn't have free WiFi so wondering where I will be able to get it.

well I got wifi in america no problem

You can't get wifi in the street here smurf, you'd have to have 3g connection. The iPad will work with any wifi connection as long as you have the password, which, you sometimes have to pay for.

Just to add, if you've got a 3g iPad, call your provider and ask what deals they are doing for use abroad.

Just switch it on and see if there is a signal somewhere (Starbucks/hotel lobbies etc).
