Thanks to my neighbours 6ft fence I have a very shady area
along the west side of my garden. Can any one suggest something
I can grow there that is edible ( and tough as heck as I am a
complete beginner :-)
Mesculun and spinach both do well in partial shade... but still need maybe 2-3 hours sunlight per day. Almost any plant that would grow in shady areas is going to be of the salad types...
If I could add to this, I'd also like to know what plants do well in a shady and rather dry area (neutral soil) so far, I've only got lemon balm growing there.
