Through the (analogue) normal coaxial aerial input. The coaxial feed from the aerial goes into the VCR, the coaxial aerial out on the VCR goes to the TV. You've got a problem if there is no aerial out on the VCR.
Plug your TV aerial cable (which presently is plugged into your TV) into the VCR (in the socket labelled 'RF in' or 'aerial in'). Connect a similar cable (sometimes termed RF cable) between the VCR and the TV. This cable has a female coax plug at one end and a male coax plug at the other.
Now, whether your VCR is switched on or not, the TV will work as before.
You will need to allocate a spare channel on your TV for the signal which comes from the VCR. To do this, play a video tape, select a TV channel (say no. 6), and tune that channel until you find the programme coming from the VCR.
