Sony Vaio Advice

Have had this sony vaio Windows 8 since last Dec, and I just cannot get to grips with any of it. On Firefox which I prefer it won't load pages or photos, and has just now not uploaded my q on here. Keep getting "server not found" but my android phone and small laptop Samsung and desktop xp work fine. I know my internet is not the fastest in the world, but there are so many things I cannot do on this Sony. Shall I send it back and complain. I cannot download anything to DVD. After 6 months I can usually get to grips with new technology but this has beaten me, it doesn't do hardly anything, certainly my xp laptop does as much or more than this one. Keeps restarting itself, in fact I hate it.

Is it only FF giving you the problem or is it with any browser?

Hello wyedyed, it's most browsers, but firefox seem to be worse. Just do not see the point of spending nearly 600€ for this rubbish.

and when I click on the right side of touchpad it always comes up with a long menú several times before I can actually get it to submit anything.

It could be your Flash Player. Try re-installing it.
Do you mean that you can't burn to DVD?

Shouldn't you be clicking on the left side to submit, or is it set up for left handed use?

Can't burn to DVD, and touchpad seems ver erratic, click anywhere.

and on both sides of the screen now there is something saying internet explorer with a red cross through it but it's only half there so cannot read it.

Ok where do i find my flash player? this is so difficult.

Go to Programs and features in the control panel. You can uninstall Adobe Flash Plugin there.
The go to http://get2.adobe.com/flashplayer/ to download the latest version.
Make yourself a nice cup of tea ;0)

won't load in any shape or form says not availbale, but although I have uninstalled it, it says it is still there, so am giving up and leaving it.

You could always buy Windows 7 from Amazon and install it.
