Sorry I just realized I should have given me answer in another notation for the non instument players amongst us....taking A4 as the newer US standard of 440hz the note I am of course refering to would then be designated as G5 and have a frequency of 783.99 Hz (this being derived by multiplying (dividing) the given starting pitch (440hz) by as many factors of the twelfth root of 2 as there are steps up to (down to) the desired pitch. So the G above A4 (that is, G5) in the American Standard has a frequency of 440 x (12th root of 2)^10 = 440 x 1.78179743628 = 783.99 Hz...Simple.
