The thing with Queenie is she thinks the world revolves around her, I keep telling her it doesn't but.....
After her last appointment she was a mess, the two doctors she seen, were rude, arrogant and patronising and talking about her as if she wasn't there. didn't ask me to go with her as she usually does as she basically thought that this was the end of all her treatment for now. She'd been given the all clear at her last laser appointment and was under the impression that the appointment was merely to dot the i's and cross the t's. Had I been there they would not have gotten away with the way they talked to her and over her. She sobbed all the way home according to her Dad who took her and fetched her home but didn't go in with her as she felt she could manage on her own as no actual treatment was being given. The two doctors who held the clinic, she'd never met before and knew nothing about her. At previous appointments she'd been seen and treated by another two doctors, both of whom treated her with respect and patience, as she can be a rather nervous patient, they gave her breaks in the laser treatment, when needed and I
cannot praise them too highly. There was a continuity of care until recently, the appointment she walked out of was regarding something else and I'm sorry but a wait longer than an hour for any appointment is totally unacceptable and is not to be endured - heaven knows when that elderly lady that I mentioned in an earlier post got home. Something ought to be done about these waiting times, not sure quite what but I suppose I could start with a few letters. It's just lucky for Queenie that I am here to pull her head at times and make her see sense otherwise her stubborness will get her into trouble. Oh and I am definitely going with her to this next appointment.
