Blocked bathroom basin
6 Answers
After 3 days of asking my son to sort out the above offending basin, i have done the job myself, how easy was that! Just unscrewed the trap from the pipes and flushed it out with bleach! Can I have 3 stars off someone and ask, what are the exact uses of teenage sons?

We have been living here over two years now and when we moved in bought a new sink ,water softener ,filters and taps.My youngest son who used to work in the plumbing trade said he would sort it out and it is still all languishing in a box in the shed.Mr.S.doesn't know one end of a screwdriver from the other and the plumber who did say he would come and install it never turned up.
So well done! * * *
Well done dot * * * but be very thankful it was the trap that was the problem. (My oldest did a year in plumbing too shaneystar).
One very hot day in July I decided to unblock my own sink......it wasn't the trap so on I went....after an hour of taking the cupboard apart to get at the plumbing as I worked my way along it, I finally found it was where the pipe went through the wall & down towards the drain. There was abought 18" of ...erm, blockage ....eeeeewwwwww - sorry if you're eating. Ever started anything and wished.......??
