Do you think it is right that Deano only got a caution for spiking Stacey's drink in Eastenders?

I would have thought that the powers that be would have had more sense than allow this, it is disgraceful.

Isn't Deano the young lad that tried to help her? Jim's grandson? He didn't do anything to her anyway, so if it is him that got the charge, (I missed it) then they are out of order anyway.
I think the point they were trying to make was that the lad who'd done it came forward to save an innocent lad getting the blame, therefore the police officer concerned having satisfied herself that he wasn't up to no good decided to caution him because he was just acting like a very stupid kid, which was what he was.The gesture itself was noble if ill advised as he was only trying to cheer her up not rape or attack her and the topic did highlight the problems of drinks being spiked. I personally thought it cast the police in an intelligent light for a change.

No Bradley (Jim's Grandson) was the one who tried to help her, but got the blame. Deano then came forward and owned up, but it doesn't change the fact that he drugged her.

I think it is trvialising a very serious offence.
