Beef Stroganoff

Can't, not got the ingredients, but if and when you have it, do you go with the saffron rice or mashed spuds?

Mashed spuds for me every time, I love them, especially with stroganoff.

Rice. Mash with stroganoff is plain wrong. I wouldn't do saffron rice because personally I don't think saffron goes with beef.

I like it with buttered noodles preferably.
But I'd eat it with mash or rice if I had no noodles :)

strognoff originated in russia -they would not eat rice in russia -they probably ate it with some form of noodle or dumpling like gnocchi.
