I'm cooking from an American recipe that tells me to use one cup of flour. Can anyone tell me how much in grams this would be please? Thanks in advance.
I'm aware, of course, that cups come in all shapes and sizes, but if you think of the 'normal' British teacup - such as your Mum probably gave the vicar his tea in! - that works quite well as a measuring device. Weigh a British teacup on your kitchen scales, then fill it with flour and take a new reading. I'd imagine the difference will not be too far off 95 grams. Give it a try.
I have a book that uses cups and converts one cup of flour at over 200g - not 95g. You can get cups really cheaply from cooking shop. (That's where I got mine - 1cup, 1/2, 1/3 and 1/4 - and they only cost me 3!)
