Deter Larger Birds

Is there such a thing as a pigeon baffle, I dont want them to hang around, a neighbour began feeding them and now her husband complains of the mess they make in his garden where they roost. I'm new to feeding wild birds now that I no longer own a cat

It might frighten the little birds away as well, but our shopping centre had a model of an Eagle Owl. It was so realistic that when one went missing from Bristol Zoo the local police were inundated with calls about it.

Can I suggest that you feed the small birds in places where a pigeon cannot fit or hang your feeders from thin branches or springy wires that will not bear the weight of a pigeon? They aren't stupid and will learn that there is nothing to be had and go back to annoying your neighbour. Roosting is a different issue. You can fill in the eaves of your house (fascias and soffits) to take away shelter but if you have trees then they will perch in them.
