using a sim card with a o2 Iphone

I am thinking of getting a iphone 3g with the network o2. I just want to know if I can use a normal o2 sim card from my old mobile phone.

I just needed to make sure before I buy it.

You will be able to use your old sim card (providing the networks are the same or the phone is unlocked) but you won't be able to use the 3G features like video messaging or faster internet etc.

3G sims look the same as regular sims but they work in a slightly different way.
