Has anyone experiance painting over inside window ledge tiles .they are that cardinal red type of tile horrible. can one remove the colour or cover with tile paint ? thanks for any advice

Yes, tile paint, or actually, any paint if you start with the right primer. Tile paint is less bother. Don't try to get it off. It's not worth it.

I painted over some tiles on the inside of a window sill in a property that I had. Are the cardinal red ones matt or glazed? The tiles that I painted were glazed and I sanded them really well to make a matt surface. I then painted them with a cream coloured tile paint. The result was OK but as they were in a kitchen and near the sink, there was a little bit of blistering that I had do repaint. On the whole, the overall effect was OK.

This is the primer I use on loads of surfaces. It's expensive but an excellent product. You'll also have to buy some meths to clean out your brushes, or use a cheap one & throw it away.
