T4 just said the nominations are announced on Tuesday, King Kong? Not seen it yet, Brokeback Mountain, don't want to see it, Memoirs of a Geisha, no appeal to me; I Walk the Line, going to see it as soon as I get the chance. Estie reckons it is brilliant and she sent me some of the songs, well done Jacquin Pheonix! Anyone else wondering what would be in contention?

Johnny Depp's performance in the Libertine must be in with a shout, though apparently Phil Seymour Hoffman is favourite for Capote.

Brokeback is a clear favourite for best film. The Constant Gardener may get a nod. It did well in the BAFTA nominaitons. Crash also. and Clooney's Good Night, and Good Luck
