Only available until next Thursday at 8pm. Watch and enjoy!
watched some of this, it is lovely to see this old warbird still flying. we used to go to various air shows, great day out..
Enjoyed that Ann, very very good. Thanks.
Don't know how brave you think you are, but I would have blanched on realising the odds ! Perhaps war can make heroes of many, but still.

A magnificent sight. Being near the Imperial War Museum, Duxford, we get used to Spitfires and other aircraft from the War flying over. But every time it happens, it is still a thrill. ( I thought I was quite brave going up in a Dragon Rapide, a sensation not improved by my daughter and my partner both asking for my car keys, even though they had their own car, "to save trouble later" LOL )

Just watched this special programme! Wasn't Dan Snow lucky to go up in the Lancaster, sit in the "glass bubble" in the nose cone and fly over the Derwent dam and the Lady Bower? We would LOVE to do that! x
Yes Ann, I would have swapped places with Dan.
i didn't have the courage to go up in the Dragon Rapide either, but the shows at Duxford were always brilliant.
You'll all have to save your pennies and visit the Battle of Britain flight at RAF Coningsby so you can get right near one of these beautiful "birds". Check their itinerary and see what days they fly too.
If the weather holds we're going to see the old girl today. They're dedicating a memorial to some guys who were killed near Milton, Notts and they're flying over about 11.00. If you live any where near and are interested head along the A1 to Markham Moor roundabout and cut of down the road at the back of the truck stop towards Walesby and you're there.
