Thanks ecurB0987654.

Had Rowme as a possible answer. Could not find meaning of ROWME in Onelook dictionary so abandoned that one.
Still don't know what it means.

I have eaten Raita all my life. But have never seen it spelled Rhyta.

LANDWEHR is the answer to Neveracrossword.

The R is in the middle of another Indian word meaning strike.
Hankir, thanks. Am finding this a real toughie.

I am finding it tough also.
I still have quite a few (8) to go.

Cannot figure out 7D but it may have something to do with USA or Canada (transatlantic).
I have ??AT??TEE?S so far.

Hankir, you're way ahead of me - I'm slogging my way through this!
Rowme is Spenser for 'place' = room

Rhyta sounds like the yoghurty dish but means drinking cups.
