My, how things are changing! Loading the last of my shopping into the car at the supermarket today, I was approached by a smiling man who said, ‘Hello lovely lady, may I take you’re trolley back for you?’ I thanked him graciously – and as he went off trundling my trolley, I jumped into my car and hopped it! Have you heard any new chat up lines lately?

I knew him already. I was heading to the shop just as he was getting out of a taxi. Stopped to chat and he asked me if I was in love. I said yes and he said he'd wished he'd met me twenty years ago. I pointed out I'd known him for longer than 20 years and said 'but you didn't like me back then' bless

He was a bit tipsy, he'd been out watching the football. He's a lovely bloke though.
