My friends and I (approx 15 of us) have decided to go away for a long weekend in April 2014. I think the destination of choice is Germany, preferably Berlin.
I have a really tight budget so would like to make it as cheap as possible where you can include flights and accommodation for about £300.
Can anyone recommend anywhere that fits the criteria?
Yeah, go to The Generator Hostel, it's got a club in the basement, all staff speak English and it's an awesome party hostel, plus you can hire either single rooms, double rooms or dorms to suit your needs:)
I've booked flights to Berlin from Manchester with Easyjet for next February and the cost for two of us is £156. That's return and with hold luggage. Book as soon as possible and then look for a cheap hotel. The trick is to book the flights first as there are fewer flights than there are hotels. I haven't even started to look for a hotel yet, it will probably be about September before I start looking.
OK thanks. Is march/April an expensive time to book flights. Do you think we'll get away with ( be reasonably cheap) booking it in august for around march/April.......I think more the end of April though.
I've looked on easy jet and for march 14 at the moment from Manchester to Berlin its about £70 return but like I say, the plan (apparently is to not pay till august) I think its more a case of because there's so many of us and the destination hasn't been properly decided on I don't think?
Well to be honest you are best booking now, prices will only go up, especially with a popular place like Berlin. Personally I'd get the destination decided then book. You don't need to book for everyone - just let them know which flight and they can book themselves on. I usually go on a city break every February/March and pay no more than £250 for flights and 3 or 4 nights accommodation in a nice hotel.
