I have inherited about 20plus items of pewter.

Depends how old they are and who the makers are. If they are modern boxed items then they're not likely to have much value if they are older depending on the maker they can be quite valuable. Look for the touch marks ( like hall marks in silver) and try to look them up, alternately if you can post pics of them I'll try to help you.
sharigan I don't know if you can help but here are a few details of some of them.
Only one of them, a one pint tankard, is all shiny; It says
Made in Sheffield England , English Pewter and the marks are:
E H P in separate squares plus the face of a girl in a circle.
There is another one pint tankard with a glass bottom and marked
Craftmanpewter, sheffield, it has a decorated , 'hammer marked surface' .
There are two teapots , hammer decorated ,marked Craftman , Sheffield,within an oval, and the word Pewter. They have backwards 'C' shaped black handles and a round black wood knobs on the lids.
There's an octagonal biscuit barrel ' Argent Pewter' 1045 with 2 Lions on the sides.
Several other items have numbers and words like Gill and Quarter Gill

Okay, here's what I have:)
Argent Pewter is usually from the 1st 50 years of the last century, usually beaten tableware and coming from an unrecorded Birmingham maker- no really serious value but if it's a nice biscuit barrel anything between £10-£15.
EHP is a 1960's onwards maker of mostly tankards and hasn't got any real value- just whatever you can get for it really.
The Craftsman stuff is likely to fare a bit better, teasets go for around the £30 mark and a nice teapot should fetch £10-£25 if you antique fair them. Some people collect Art Deco which these sets often are and the more stylised designs often go quite well.
