Has anyone been to Riga, Latvia?

I was wondering what the level of prices is in Riga. Is it like in the chech republic?

Spent Christmas and New Year there 2004/5

Lovely place and lovely friendly people. Prices are still very reasonable (though increasing), but still excellent value. Plenty of coffee places and reasonable restaurants (can recommend several!). Lots of things to do. Very cold with thick snow at Christmas. We thoroughly enjoyed it

Yes, I went in May 2005. It is cheaper than Prague certainly. Lots of lovely bars and cafes, and very friendly people. Quite a few Brit stag do's have started going there unfortunately, but not to the excesses of Prague, Amsterdam or Dublin.
