The Ideal Day Out.

Hi everyone. If money and travel was not an issue, how, and where would you spend your day?
For myself, I think that I would have breakfast withn my family on the Island of Santorini looking out onto the caldera. For Lunch, it would be a picnic at Ankor Wat where we could explore the vast temple complex, then it would be a quick skip over to Jordan to visit Petra, then to Iran and visit the palace of Persepolis, and finish the evening off with dinner looking out at the Flavian Theatre in Rome.
Thanks in advance.

Obviously you like old ruins Spoonboy. That being so you could join me (an old ruin), I would start my day at Machu Pinchu for breakfast then a trip across to Venice for lunch, dinner at Raffles Hotel in Singapore *not quite ruinous but nice, drinks in Egypt's Valley of the Kings then later a small supper party in Pompeii.

Sorry folks, my laptop is playing up again: looks like I'll have to wait for three hours before microsoft inform me of available updates. But, on Crete Daisy, I only managed to get to the Palace of Minos. Askyourgran, I forgot about Pompeii - and you can't do that without a visit also to Herculanuem. Society, my favourite reads at the mo are Simon Scarrow's Centurion series.
