I assume you found out it was a win32 virus through running the AVG antivirus software, hasn't that fixed it? As this website ( http://www.antivirusscans.com/win32_virus.htm
) says, there are many win32 virus types many of which are cured by modern antivirus software. The worst case scenario is a rebuild. Because the virus infects system files usually data files and therefore CDRs and your data USB HDD are safe. Scanning using a good antivirus software (such as AVG or Norton) is a good way of determining whether you have a virus and what virus you have is.
