the blind guy with the white stick is from our town and he is sueing the cops, but he has every right to, the terrorists have no rights now, they've burnt that bridge. do we have a 'guantanamo bay' type place where they can safely rot for a few years?

Waldorf got substantial damages for being shot. It was a case of mistaken identity; he was in a car which had been in the possession of a known criminal. What was never made clear by the officer is how that would have justified shooting the 'right' man in the back

I would imagine that MI5 were less than impressed with the Police's decision to shoot them.

Eyewitness accounts say that the attackers approached the police without raising their hands and that the Police simply shot them without a warning or attempting to arrest them. JTP

.. but they were carrying knives, a gun, and a meat cleaver dripping blood..... and your link would suggest they did not approach the police in what could be described as a calm and submissive manner, so call me old fashioned if you like, but that is not a happy situation for the police to be in. I'd have shot them too - but my aim would have been placed elsewhere! Barbaric bastards!

accoding to an eye witness account, barely literate but as far as I can tell one of them charged the armed officer who shot him 3 times.
