I have lost the 'From' field on my Microsoft Outlook. How do I get it back please?

If you right-click on one of the other fields you should find field chooser in the menu.

Or go view - arrange by - custom - fields

Unless I am doing it wrong, unfortunately I couldn't get your suggestions to work, but have just been advised if I click on the arrow next to the options, I can retrieve it from there.

Follow these steps:
> Open your outlook
> Right click the "Subject" field
> Now select columns
> Here you can check the from box.

Open your outlook
Right click the "Subject" field

Now select columns tab and click ok.

you will get the from tab.
