Wolf Versus Wi-Fi Part 3
9 Answers
I have just purchased this Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation and am planning on setting it up over the weekend.
Step 1 entails me plugging one of the plugs to a Broadband Router. Is this my Cable modem or do I have to plug a router between my modem and the plug?
I am afraid that I have totally confused myself over the order in which stuff should be plugged into each other - what plugs into what?
Thanks for any help - I can't believe how confused I am getting trying to do this. ;-)

I am not having a very alert day - brain too drugged up to think clearly.
The instructions in the link whiskeryron has given seem a bit clearer than the picture supplied with plugs. Baldric - I have a router so that is no problem.
I think that I will leave it just now and come back and try it when my brain fog clears up. I may be back later. :-)

I had a nap and felt ready to sort it out. The CD-ROM was so tiny that it kept falling through the hole in the CD/DVD slot. That had me stumped for a minute of so.
I still don't understand it at all - is this how it works?
WWW -> cable modem -> router (plugged into PC) -> powerline plug -> electric -> to plug at other end …… to my MacBook and Kindle Fire.
Does it matter what socket/holes that I plug the wires into in the back of the router?
If all else fails I am going to have to get someone to do it for me. The last time I tried that method my lovely lady cat bit the guy. That didn't go down well.
Thanks - confused, Scotland

Cable from router to small power line plug which you plug into the wall
Plug the large powerline plug into the wal in the room where you want to extend your wifi.
Push the pairing button on the underside of the samml powerline plug and hold it for about 6 seconds
Immediately push the pairing button on the other powerline plug and hold for around six seconds
That's it. You don't need the stuff on the CD.
