I use to work in a supermarket when I was 15 (this was 9 years ago now! You could try calling into your local supermarkets asking if they have any vacancies. Although there are restrictions on the number of hours you can work when you're 15 and I don't think you are protected re. minumim wage either.
James - I just checked a website which said that young people can leave school on the last Friday of June of the school year in which they are 16 so are you sure you can legally leave school in April?
I would prepare a good CV for yourself, showing all your good qualities ( initiative, any part-time jobs you've already had, etc) and over the next couple of months walk it round all the stores where you might like to work. Ask for the manager in charge of recruiting and ask him to hold it pending until you reach the legal age when you can work. Dress suitably, be polite and sound enthusiastic. It may be a case of throwing your bread on the water and waiting for a possible vacancy to develop, by which time you will be the legal age to work full time.
Apart from a paper round, I'm not sure I can think of any other suitable jobs for you in the meantime, unless you are prepared to do baby sitting or car washing in your spare time. Good luck.
