Do any Pagan ABers partake in these events and rituals?

This is going to be an interesting thread, I'm pulling up a chair.
I've been to Jack-In-The-Green at Hastings a few times, love morris dancing and stone circles and I consult rune stones occasionally. I follow the phases of the moon and use wild herbs.
...oh, and I love this song:

Our heritage is what makes us who we are.
I agree with Birdie. Mad as hatters - but in the nicest way.
I love all that stuff.
It's no more weird than parading about the place in a long frock, with a colourful hat, carrying a big cross, and praising a supernatural deity who is supposed to have created all things in Heaven and Earth.

Me too Ludwig, we like to trawl the countryside and experience these festivals. Real ale, morris dancing, fancy dress, who could ask for more.
Sounds fab, Octayius.

Except for the Morris Dancing.

Was is Sir Thomas Beecham who said, 'You should try everything once, except incest and Morris Dancing'?
Me too, Ludwig - except for the real ale. It's fun!
Sound advice, Sandy!

I am an atheist but I have always thought that running around Stonehenge naked sounded quite fun ! Never saw that in my Catholic boyhood.

I bet you did, whilst being chased by the curate.
Fortunately nothing untoward ever happened to me at the hand of any representative of the church, or anybody else for that matter, and I was a keen Cub Scout and later a Boy Scout. Although I have given up all kinds of superstition these days, I remember my Catholic upbringing with a great deal of affection. I was involved in all sorts of boys activities with the Church, visits to the Natural History and Science Museums being highlights.

On one occasion there was a group of us hiking on Exmoor and one boy slipped and badly sprained his ankle. The Curate personally carried this boy, who would have been about 13 like the rest of us, over 3 miles back to the minibus, and the Curate bore no resemblance whatsoever to Arnie Schwarzenegger.

I know that some people tell horrendous stories about abuse at the hands of the Church, and their testimony chills the blood. But I never witnessed any, nor heard of any in my childhood years, despite being an altar server and involved in lots of extra-curricular activities.
Good for you mikey for saying that.
No longer a true believer but pleased that the church has its good points.
Always pleased to give credit where its due !

( still like the idea of naked dancing though ! )
