I have had a Sony Bravia 32" TV for about 3 years and never had a problem. Starting about three weeks ago - for no apparent reason - EVERY day at 5 p.m. a notice appears on the screen "DO YOU WISH TO TURN OFF THE SYSTEM IN 60 SECONDS? Yes?No. I have tried everything I can think of to neutralise the problem without success. I have even gone back to Factory Reset - again with no success. I have done a complete re-install - no good. Can anyone PLEASE tell me how I can fix this irritating problem.

I've got a similar problem with my Sharp - ever so often it comes up with do you want to shut down. Would welcome help as well

Thank you fender62 - the standby is already at OFF but the problem persists.
