Do you have words or phrases that were only applicable to your childhood?
A word popped into my head today. "Tide marks" straight away I was taken back to my mother telling me off for a tide mark on my neck!! What about you?

Children should be seen and not heard

Put that [news]paper down...there not for children to read!!

My sister and I would do hand stands up the coal shed door, Mum would shout, get down you'll turn your blo*dy brain.

Poor old Mum,wish she was still here to laugh about this like we did for years after we grew up.
