B**tards At It Again

We have a patio on the front garden, there was a table and two chairs. The table has been stolen. They had to come down the drive, down a set of steps and take it. They very kindly left the two chairs. Talking to lady in the paper shop just down the road, she said she saw it broken up into small pieces in the garden of an empty property just down the road, then later some pieces were thrown into her garden. What mindless idiots take pleasure in doing this. A few years back someone stole a very large terracotta pot with lilies in and smashed it up further down the road. This type of behaviour just baffles me. Some one also emptied my dustbin all over the pavement after putting it out at night for the bin men in the morning. Grrrrrrr.

When do you register something is missing? I noticed it yesterday, I mentioned it to OH, he says he noticed the day before unthought I had moved it to somewhere else, (for heavens sake where,we have very limited possibilities as to wherein could go) then speaking to Margaret in the shop, she is convinced she had a piece of it in her garden on Sunday. How could we have not noticed something was missing for that length of time. Our observance ability is seriously lacking. Is it an age thing?
I think a lot of our problems stem from when we had a motorhome. We had to widen the entrance to the drive, which meant we had to remove two pillars, and the gate, that no longer fitted, which meant we were open to everyone. Now we have not got the MH it could mean we might have to rebuild the gate pillars and reinstall the gates, but what to do about the postman?
