Sorry to be a pain guys but I was wondering if our extremely helpful legal eagle, Barmaid has left A/B for pastures new. I have been patiently waiting for an answer to a query since May 14th & wondering whether to Unsubscribe my thread & abandon the question asked & get on with life.

Er...what was the question again ? If I have the time, in absentia Barmaidiae, I'll dive into Inner Temple library and dig out some authorities (or,more likely, ring the senior wills and probate partner in my sols; dammit, I've paid her enough over the years, about time she did something free !)

Thanks for the good wishes re the racing. Derby day sounds ominous. I'm taking my daughter, who has just said "I haven't even got a dress yet. Shall we meet at Peter Jones at half past ten?" All fathers of young daughters know what that means; at least a hundred quid down before I even get to Epsom!

Thanks very much to you all for taking the trouble to answer this dilemma & as you say mrs.chappie it will be interesting to see the outcome of this. My friends are still living their lives as they started ( parting each weekend) but thoroughly enjoying their relationship.
