How Did They Know He Was A Soldier?

Hi,
I'm keeping out of the big debates but could someone please answer the above question.
This has been really bugging me all morning and may have been answered else where, but according to all the reports I have read the victim was just wearing a 'Help for Heroes' sweat shirt. Could have not just been anyone?

I've said it before and I'll say it again - spending millions of pounds in sending thousands of soldiers to occupy Afghanistan does not make us here in Britain any safer.

Quite the opposite - Take the budget off of the MOD and give the money to the security services where it'll do us all a lot more good.

These two were known to the security services - MI5 can't exactly hold a press conference and say so but I expect that resource constraints mean they cant monitor all the people they'd like to as well as they could

Gromitt they were convicted of the Kings Arms bombing it was a timing of something to do with the driving time from the Kings Arms that contributed to their final defence

It would seem to me that they followed the soldier. Why does the media feel the need to broadcast all the gory stuff? Doesn't that give the terrorists the fame or stage they are seeking? They like to Grandstand and make us all see how much they hate us. Why aren't our countries finest covert ops doing something about these nuts? Flag waving and threatening isn't going to work. I don't really think our countries give a rats *** about our safety, we will have to figure that out for ourselves. Britain has weathered more than these little sqeaks are dishing out. This American has a lot of respect for you. I don't know the answer but felt a little homage and a salute would help. Hope you don't mind .

I'm guessing it wasn't the T-shirt; they almost certainly wanted a soldier, and T-shirts are no clue to anyone's occupation.

i hope they get their comeuppance in prison .I really can't see why the death penalty is not brought back for the likes of these revolting things .

In answer to thee OP. It seems that Lee Rigby was returning to the barracks after duty at the Tower of London.

I would think he was followed but obviously I have no proof of that.
