a good quality is 128kbps and hardly noticeable but you can get away with 192kbps
so when using limewire make sure you check the encoding of the song and the file size should be smaller - hey presto more songs.
however your not gonna get many on a 64mb whatever the encoding/file size
theo_wyvern - of course you meant a reasonably good quality is 192 kbps, but you can get away with 128 kbps.
The 'bit-rate' (kbps = kilobytes per second), is the quantity of data that is processed per unit of time. The more data or 'samples' per second the better quality the track but the larger the file size.
I generally wouldn't bother going below 128 kbps for a music audio track as much quality is lost. Although 48 or 64 kbps is fine for long, speech-based files (such as The Archers or I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue from Radio 4)
