Vodka is the drink of choice for addicts. Alcoholics prefer it precisely because it doesn't give bad hangovers. If you've got a bad hangover, what were you mixing it with? I think it's the vitamin C that gives bad hangovers. Sticking a slice of lemon in the vodka or mixing it with tomato juice is the cause.
Cheap Vodka may contain fusel oils ( higher alcohols) which contribute to hangovers. Most distilled spirits contain them.

"While these alcohols, at high levels, have a high toxicity, the induced vomiting they trigger prevent fatalities.
They are however a major contributor to hangovers. The higher the molecular weight of the alcohol involved, the worse the hangover."
If it's any consolation, I also did the running man last night but in purple boot slippers and a fluffy pink dressing gown.... And I didn't have anything like being drunk as an excuse... or indeed any music playing.

I'm such a catch :-/
