Been round the local park today and passed several people who I know by sight. Usually they just walk past without speaking, today three gentlemen have doffed their caps at me and wished me good afternoon. Made my day. Must be the sunshine.
I find the good weather makes people more cheerful, leah....lovely isn't it. I played bowls for years til MrG died...hope to start again. He played seriously...I played for fun. Not as easy as it appears but a lovely gentle activity....x

Politeness costs nothing no matter what the weather is. What the good weather does is bring out folks' cheeriness something very noticeable in a dour miserable city like Aberdeen. Mind you paraphrasing (is that the right word) what Shoota says, Gentlemen will always acknowledge a pretty lady on a sunny day ;0)
I find it also brings out swarms of loud mouthed council estate matriarchs. All hanging around by the wheelie bins, fags hanging out the corners of their mouths. Ill fitting leggings and vest tops. Kids riding around in random patterns on bikes several sizes too big for them.
Yes people in the park were smiling and watching the bowls players. MrAsk has been playing bowls for 60 years a really good player in his day, most of the players were gentlemen, it was the women who were more aggressive.
We spent the afternoon in town with our hounds, we do it quite often, we love it the hounds love it and they get so many cuddles, the sun was out and it was a lovely afternoon well spent.
