I am celebrating my 40th birthday in august by going on a luxury/tropical holiday. any suggestions plz, was looking at Gambia but it's out of season.

Not got an answer but just wanted to say you lucky lucky thing! I went to a holiday site 2 hours drive from my home for mine! It was freezing cold in the caravans and the drink cost an arm and a leg!!

Whatever you decide hope you have a wonderful time.

Lots of options - but how much do you want to spend, how long do you want to fly for.....?

Personally I always go to Thailand - great food, cheap beer [Sorry acorn], fantastic quality of hotels, charming friendly people, warm seas and sandy beaches....need I go on....?
